Lee Richard "Dick" Halseth, 66, formerly of Minneapolis, MN died Wednesday, July 19, 2006, in Macon, GA, as a result of injuries sustained in a pedestrian/car accident. He was born in Chicago, IL on Nov 4, 1939, to Perry and Florence (Ortendahl) Halseth.\r\nDick graduated from Crystal Lake Community High School in 1957 and received a BA degree from the University of Minnesota in 1963. In 1958, he married Susan Louise Snell and together they had four children.\r\nDick was an avid outdoorsman and an accomplished skeet shooter. A member of the 1957 SportsAField Junior All-American Skeet team, he was the first to achieve High Over-All MN State Skeet Champion (.20, .410, .28 ga) in 1959, '60, and '61 consecutively. He was a salesman of industrial equipment, a restaurateur, and ran a construction business.\r\nDick is survived by two daughters Heidi Christopherson of Phoenix, AZ and Kristin Halseth of Hudson, WI, one son Peter (Melissa) Halseth of Eau Claire; one granddaughter Jane; one grandson Gunnar; one brother Steven P. Halseth of Bagley, MN and numerous cousins.\r\nHe is preceded in death by his daughter, Heather Anne, his parents, and a significant partner in life, Katherine "Susie" Bakken.\r\nGraveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 18, 2006, at Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire, WI.
