LENIEDA ADELINE TOMTER, 84, 2907 Eddy Lane, died Thursday, January 4, 1996 at Luther Hospital.\r\nLenieda was born November 24, 1911 to Johannes and Mithilda (Olson) Johnson in the Town of Garfield, Jackson County. She graduated from Lincoln Hill H.S. in Osseo in 1932. On January 27, 1934, she married Hensel Joseph Tomter in Pigeon Falls. During WWII, Lenieda worked in the Eau Claire Ordinance Plant (Gillette Tire Company).\r\nSurvivors include her husband, Hensel; two sons, Harvey (Rose) Tomter and Larry (Linda) Tomter, both of Eau Claire; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, John (Loris) Tomter of Osseo; one sister, Mildred Gilbert, Mauston; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Hilman and Ervin Johnson, and a half-sister, Mavis Zingshiem.\r\nFuneral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church, with Pastor RobertE. Esse officiating. Burial will be at 4:15 p.m. at Pigeon Creek Lutheran Cemetery in Pigeon Falls.\r\nFriends may call from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral home and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
