Obituary

LENORA R. KUMFERMAN, 35, of 920 Walnut St., died Saturday, October 6, 2001 of injuries resulting from an automobile accident. She was born on November 7, 1965 in Whitehall, Wisconsin to Beverly Gilbertson. She attended elementary school in Whitehall and High School in Marshfield and Independence.\r\nLenora was a very strong and committed woman who fought a three-year battle with breast and brain cancer, and triumphed over this disease, always with a smile on her face. She was a loving mother and sister, always caring about other's need first. \r\nSurvivors include her companion of 15 years Chad Gotliebson; daughter, Desiree Schmidt and son, Dylan Gotliebson both at home; three sisters, Fayth (Albert) Przybilla of Independence, Sherry (Daniel) Bever of Eau Claire and Charmaine Kumferman of Independence, and; two brothers, David Kumferman of Frontinac, MN and Kenneth Kumferman of Independence; and 12 nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly; her grandparents, George and Virginia Gilbertson; and a nephew, James Przybilla.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2001 at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd with Pastor Paul D. L. Oppedahl officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Independence, WI. Friends may call an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home is serving the family.
