Leo L. Koger Jr. "PANIC", 61, of Eau Claire died Friday, April 21, 2006, at Luther Hospital. He was born in Eau Claire, WI on May 10, 1944, the son of Leo Sr. and Dorothy (Tompkins) Koger. \r\nLeo married Cookie on August 10, 1988, in Stillwater, MN.\r\nHe retired proudly from Pope&Talbot after twenty seven dedicated years. He enjoyed spending much time with his family, especially the little ones. His whole life was raising his daughters, grandchildren, and the love of his life, Cookie. He was a great caregiver to all. Leo was a kind, compassionate, friend. His quick whit and humor will be remembered by all who knew him.\r\nHe liked target shooting, golf, fishing, and playing cards. His favorite pastime was watching cable T.V. Leo is survived by his wife, Cookie; two step-daughters, Laura Steinke, and Shannon Wilczek-Koger, both of Eau Claire; a son, Robert (Michelle) of California; six grandchildren, Jarica, Tanner, Reegan, LaKiah, Brittany and Roby; a brother, Mike Koger; two sisters, Donna (Richard) Heimstead and Sandy Fischer; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Gary Koger; and sister, Diane Weissinger. \r\nFuneral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 2006 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Father Edmund Klimek officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, town of Washington. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and again one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday. \r\n \r\n
