Obituary

Leo T. Wisotzke, 86, of 109 W. Polk Ave., died Sunday, January 13, 2002 at Clairemont Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born on October 31, 1915 on his family farm, in the town of Seymour, to John and Mary (Sweep) Wisotzke. Leo married Marie A. Fleming in Eau Claire on November 18, 1937.\r\nHe was employed at Uniroyal Tire Company for 38 years, retiring from the shipping department in 1976. Leo was a skilled carpenter, building his first home and helping other members of his family with their projects. Leo bowled many years, was an avid fisherman, and played baseball in the Eau Claire area. \r\nSurvivors include three daughters, Joan (Douglas) Smith, Janice (Raymond) Frye and Lori (Mike) Hestekin all of Eau Claire; son, Thomas (Judy) Wisotzke of Janesville; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Rose Poehls of Chippewa Falls, Esther O'Hara of Binghamton, New York and Margaret (Richard) Robelia of Eau Claire.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his wife Marie in 1993; his parents; three brothers and six sisters. \r\nFuneral services will at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2002 in the chapel at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. Duane C. Pederson officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home is serving the family.\r\nMemorials may be directed to First Lutheran Church or the donor's choice.
