Leon Jesse Davey, 78, of Eau Claire,WI died on Monday, November 24, 2008, at Wissota Health Center, Chippewa Falls. He was born in New London, Iowa on February 10, 1930, the son of Jesse and Mertie (Little) Davey. \r\nHe entered the U.S. Navy on December 1, 1950, and was honorably discharged on September 13, 1954.\r\nLeon married Dorothy Crosby on September 5, 1953, in Portsmouth, Virginia.\r\nHe worked 27 years for Goodyear Tire Company, retiring as a supervisor in Norfolk, Nebraska. \r\nLeon is survived by his wife, Dorothy; three daughters; one son; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his sister. \r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2008, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., Eau Claire, WI with Pastor Rolf A. Nestingen officiating. Military honors will be conducted at the funeral home. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.\r\n
