Obituary

Leon W. Heaviland, 86, of 1529 Warden Street passed away Friday, January 26, 1996 at his home.\r\nLeon was born May 2, 1909 in Pontiac, Michigan to Edward and Hannah (Harper) Heaviland. He married Norma Johnson in Minneapolis on May 10, 1942. Leon was an Ordained Priest in The Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.\r\nHe had worked as a licensed electrician and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 953. He retired in 1975 as a sales representative with Investor's Diversified Services.\r\nLeon is survived by his wife, Norma; a daughter, Janet (Warren) Harden of Shirley,IL; four sons, Donald (Annada) of Eugene,OR, Patrick, Victor and Larry (Dawn) all of Eau Claire; two grandsons, Trevor and Trent both of Eau Claire; three granddaughters, Kathy (John) McKart of Veneta,OR, Sandy (Bob)Adams of Cove,OR, and Cydney (Steve) Nestor of Portland,OR and five great-grandchildren.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Marguerite and Clara; four brothers, Alvin, Lloyd , Lewis, and Clarence.\r\nMemorial services will be at 1 P.M. Wednesday at The Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints with Elder Charles E. Lampman officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.\r\nFriends may call 12:30 P.M. until time of services Wednesday at the church which is located on the corner of Eddy Lane and Saturn Avenue. Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home is serving the Family.\r\nThe Family requests that memorials be directed to the The Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints.
