LEONA H. HAUG, 82, formerly of 928 Water St., died Sunday, June 14, 1998 at The Clairemont. She was born on March 5, 1916, to Carl and Ida (Schroetter) Prill, in Dunn County near Bloomer where she grew up. Leona later moved to Eau Claire, where she met her future husband, John B. Haug. They were married on August 6, 1938 in Lansing, Iowa. She has been a member of First Lutheran Church for many years.\r\nSurvivors include her husband, John; two sons, John (Susanne) of Rhinelander, Eugene (Sylvia) of Eau Claire; two daughters, Sharon (Herb) Zunker of Shoreview, MN, and Joann Johnson of Eau Claire; eleven grandchildren, Anthony (Lori), Matthew, Jason and Christine Haug, Scott, Kelly and Greg Haug, Angie (Doug) Howe, Brad Zunker, Laurie (Franz) Federiuk and Linda (Dave) Moss; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Erna Steinmentz of Kenosha; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nLeona was preceded in death by her parents; a step-brother, Elton Sterner; and a son-in-law, Duwaine "Duke" Johnson.\r\nMemorial Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Jeanne L. Warner officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home is serving the Family.
