LEONA A. LOKEN, age 90, of the Fall Creek Valley Nursing Home, Fall Creek, and formerly of 618 Erin St.,Eau Claire, died Thursday, March 5, 1998 at Luther Hospital. She was born June 29, 1907 in Eau Claire to Leonard and Alta (Kromroy) Loken. Leona graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School. She worked at the Eau Claire County Register of Deeds Office until her retirement. Leona was a long-time member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post #305. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.\r\nSurvivors include a sister-in-law, Nancy Loken; a nephew, Mark Olsen; two great-nephews, Grant and Clark Olsen; a great niece, Anne-Elise Olsen; and her friend and caregiver, Elizabeth Schuster, all of Eau Claire.\r\nShe was preceded in death by a brother, David and a sister, Beatrice Olsen.\r\nFuneral services will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 12th at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home, with Pastor Howard Fehr officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call 4:30 p.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.\r\nLeona's family suggests that any memorials be directed to the Fall Creek Valley Nursing Home Memorial Fund.
