Leone "Kitty" E. Pire, 100, formerly of 600 Graham Ave., died Friday, August 17, 2001 at Dove Healthcare Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on April 18, 1901 to Frank and Ida (Zirbel) Kirscher in Verona, WI. Kitty married Frank Lindsay. After his death, she married Irwin Pire and they moved to Eau Claire in 1931.\r\nSurvivors include a daughter, Joann Lindsay Dern (Henry) of Santa Clara, CA; a granddaughter, Linda Carriera (Manuel) of San Jose, CA; three great grandchildren, Manuel III, Julie, and Jessica Carriera.\r\nShe is also survived by three stepchildren, Lois Pire Cardinal (Stanley) of Sarasota, FL, W.C. "Bill" (Alyce) Pire of Fort Collins, CO, and Irwin "Sam" Pire Jr. (Norma) of Eau Claire; eight step grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; dear friends and special caregivers, Arlene and Gayle Christ.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Irwin, in 1965.\r\nMemorials can be directed to First Congregational United Church of Christ or the donor's choice.
