LeRoy J. Hermanson, 71, of Eau Claire passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at his home with children by his bedside.\r\nHe was born in Eau Claire on September 25, 1934 the son of George and Mayme (Mortenson) Hermanson.\r\nLeRoy graduated from Eau Claire High School and went into the U.S. Marines as a gunner serving in the Korean War until the time of his honorable discharge on February 5, 1960.\r\nFollowing his discharge, LeRoy spent a short period in Milwaukee before moving to California. LeRoy married Connie Broy in 1965 in Orange County, CA. After raising three children together they divorced in 1986.\r\nIn 1994, he retired from his career in metal fabrication and moved back home to Eau Claire. His children also followed him back to Eau Claire and spent the last several years of his life with him.\r\nLeRoy's hobbies included camping, shooting his guns and fishing. He was an avid Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewers fan. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family.\r\nLeRoy is survived by his three children, David (Lonnie) Frock, Lugene ( Richard) Martin, Cindy (David) Savage all of Eau Claire; grandchildren, Robin Martin, Krista, Melissa, Laura,&Brian Savage, Joshua, Sarah, Jonna,&India Frock, all of Eau Claire; three sisters, Maxine (Robert) Hager of Chippewa Falls, Charlotte Meyers & Joanne (Robert) Meyers, both of Riverside, CA. He is also survived by four children from his first marriage, Bradley, Steven, Kathy, and Ronald Hermanson.\r\nHe is preceded in death by his parents.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Rev. David J. Irgens officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire. Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services on Tuesday.\r\n
