LeRoy T. Lamoureux, 83, of Eau Claire died Sunday, September 15, 2013. LeRoy was born in Tony, WI, on September 18, 1929, a son of Wilfred and Antonia (VanHeesch) Lamoureux. He lived in a variety of places, including Ladysmith, Rhinelander and in Eau Claire since 1965. LeRoy married Pudge Spresser on June 23, 1951 at Our Lady of Sorrows in Ladysmith, WI. LeRoy graduated from Tony High School, where he lettered in boxing, basketball, and baseball. LeRoy worked for and served in the National Guard from 1948 until his honorable discharge in 1965. He was a salesman for several food service companies covering northwest Wisconsin, including Peter's Meat and Indianhead Foods. LeRoy was a member of St. Olaf Catholic Church since 1965. During this time, he sang in the choir and was a parish council member. LeRoy was also a member of Camp 9 Hunting Club for more than 50 years. LeRoy was a huge fan of high school sports, the Badgers, Packers and Brewers. He was inducted into the North High Booster Club in 2001. LeRoy and Pudge attended most North High baseball, basketball, and football games. He especially enjoyed spending time with his wife, kids, and grandkids at the lake, where he occasionally had a "kanuper". LeRoy could fix almost anything. His favorite word was "FANTASTIC! It will be hard to fill his shoes and he will be missed by all he touched. LeRoy is survived by his wife, Pudge; four children, Kathi (John) Russell of Middleton, WI, Tom (Marian) Lamoureux of Waukesha, WI, James (Doris) Lamoureux of Eau Claire, and Rene' (Bob) Ippolite of Eau Claire; six grandchildren, Nicole and Michelle Russell, Mike, Sam and Will Lamoureux, and Nick Lamoureux; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers; and two sisters; Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 20, 2013, at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 3220 Monroe St., Eau Claire with Father Brian Konopa officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Parish Vigil Prayer Service beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2013, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home WEST CHAPEL, 1405 W. Clairemont Ave. in Eau Claire and one hour prior to the mass Friday at the church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Eau Claire.
