LeRoy Nolan Schultz, 95, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025. LeRoy was born on April 10, 1930, in Barron, Wisconsin, to Charles and Celia Schultz. He met the love of his life, Lois Anger, on a blind date in 1949, and they married on May 8, 1954, at Grace Lutheran Church. Together, they built a beautiful life in Cleghorn, Wisconsin, raising five children in a home filled with love, laughter, faith, and hard work. LeRoy proudly served his country in the United States Armed Forces from 1948 to 1952, earning the Korean Service Medal with five Bronze Stars. After his military service, he worked for American Materials Corporation as a mechanic and welder, where his skill and precision earned him deep respect from coworkers and friends alike. LeRoy had a strong work ethic and a kind heart. He could fix just about anything and was always willing to lend a hand to family, neighbors, or friends. After retirement, he and Lois enjoyed spending 20 winters in Mesa, Arizona, surrounded by a community of close friends who became like family. LeRoy is survived by his five children and their partners: Don (Patty) Schultz of Eau Claire; Bob (Patie) Schultz of Menomonie; Diane (the late Tracy) Johnston of Burbank, CA; Jon (Mary) Schultz of Cameron; and Julie Booth of Strum. He was a proud grandfather to 11: Elizabeth (Paolo) Chuidian, Mike (Chelsea) Schultz, Hannah (Jason) Faanes, Mia (Kaylee) Evergreen, Kjerstin (Sheldon) Knutson, Jennifer (Dalton) VanderWal, Jennifer (Jake) Cimino, Matt (Melissa) Schultz, Luke (Alyssa) Schultz, Carrie (Joe) Campbell, and Mitchell (Maggie) Wampole; and a great-grandfather to 18. He is also survived by his beloved sister-in-law, Janice Anderson. He is preceded in death by wife, Lois, great-grand-daughter Ava and siblings, Donald and Harold. A celebration of LeRoy's life will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 202 West Grand Ave, Eau Claire on Thursday, October 23. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Philip Ruge-Jones officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date. All who knew LeRoy are welcome to join the family in honoring a life well-lived and deeply loved. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Croix Hospice and Mayo Clinic Emergency for their care.
