Lillian M. Brown, 90, of Eau Claire, passed away at her home on Thursday, September 13, 2012. She was born Lillian Marie Moberg on April 14, 1922, in West Sweden, WI. Lillian was the ninth of ten children of William and Anna (Peterson) Moberg. When Lillian was 10 years old, she moved to Bruce, WI. She was valedictorian of her high school class, graduating in 1940. Lillian married Richard C. Brown on December 29, 1945. Lillian had worked for the Federal Government during the 1940's while Dick was attending medical school. They settled in Eau Claire, in 1953, when Dick joined the Midelfort Clinic as an Obstetrician/Gynecologist. Lillian was one of the founding members of the Tri-County Medical Auxiliary. She was active in the organization for more than 40 years. Lillian was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ for more than 50 years. Lillian was an avid bird-watcher throughout her life. Lillian is survived by her son, William T. Brown; daughter, Anne E. Brown (Carl Brown); grandson, Mitchell C. Brown, all of Eau Claire. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Alberta Schooley; brother-in-law, William Norris; a niece and nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband and siblings. Burial will be at 9 a.m. Monday, September 17, 2012, in Rest Haven Cemetery, Town of Washington. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 310 Broadway St. in Eau Claire with Rev. Dr. Mark X. Pirazzini officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, September 16, 2012, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave. in Eau Claire, and one hour prior to the service at the church. The family requests memorials to First Congregational United Church of Christ.
