Lillian Eckwright, 91, of Eau Claire, died on Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at Clairemont Nursing Home in Eau Claire.\r\nShe was born in Pleasant Valley on December 28, 1919, the daughter of Archibald and Edna (Green) Birtzer. \r\nLillian married Leon T. Eckwright on September 2, 1941, in Winona, MN.\r\nLillian was a member of Lake Street United Methodist Church.\r\nLillian enjoyed sports, especially baseball, the Packers, wresting of all kinds, watching her great-granddaughters playing fast-pitch softball, and taking trips to the casino with the Clairemont. \r\nLillian is survived by her three children, Verlin (Geri) Eckwright, Archie Eckwright, and Charlotte (Pete) Rone all of Eau Claire, sister-in-law, Etta Birtzer of Cleghorn; six grandchildren, Tammy (Jerry) Miller, Dawn (Nick) Stevens, Mike (Gloria) Eckwright, Patty Eckwright, Randy (Sally) Eckwright, and Debbie (Dan) LeMay; fourteen great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great grandchildren.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Leon; parents; three brothers, Percy Birtzer, Norman (Alyce) Birtzer, and Earl (Mable) Birtzer; a sister, Merciel (Tim) Arnson. \r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2011, at Lake Street United Methodist Church with Pastor Graham N. West officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2011, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
