Lillian E. Johnson, 101, a resident of Comforts of Home Assisted Living died Thursday, April 17, 2014, in Chippewa Falls, WI, surrounded by the love of her family. The former Lillian Palm was born in Rice Lake, WI, on October 3, 1912, a daughter of Charles and Louisa (Carlson) Palm. Lillian married Henry E. Johnson, at her parents' home in Rice Lake on December 4, l933. She worked at Gillette's during ordinance, inspecting bullets. For l5 years, Henry and Lillian ran the A&W Root Beer stand in Elkhart, Indiana. She also volunteered at Memorial High School helping out in the hot lunch program. Lillian was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church for many years. Lillian is survived by her two daughters, Deanna (Bob) Larson of Eau Claire, and Ruth Ann (David) Leuck of Onalaska, WI; grandchildren, Marshall Carter L'Allier, DeAnna Lau (Jeff Larson), Tim (Dawn) Schlewitz, Collette (Brett) Mierow, Gina (Gary) Haefer, Stephenie (Derek) Kelly, and Michelle Lee (Eric Goodwin); great-grandchildren, Shawn Lau, Kelly Lau, Megan (David) Wiegand, Timothy Schlewitz, Allison Mierow, Alexis Mierow, Carter Mierow, Brandon Haefer, Justin Haefer, Zackary Haefer, Brittney Haefer, Laura Kelly, John Kelly, Olivia Kelly, and Marshall Kelly; great-great-grandchildren, Boo Lau, D'Sean Lau, Hailey Wiegand. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband Henry; parents, Charles and Louisa; daughter, Bonnie Reukert; three sisters; two brothers; grandson, Donald Craig L'Allier; and great-granddaughter, Amy Schlewitz. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 20l4, at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 32l4 Golf Rd. Eau Claire, with Pastor John Yungerberg, and Pastor Paul Settergeren officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Many, many "thanks" to the staff at Comforts of Home for their lovely tender care of Mom.
