Lillian "Lil" M. Kaufman, 68 of 2844 11th St. died Sunday, July 7, 2002 at her home. She was born in Eau Claire on November 18, 1933 to Ole and Olive (Swenson) Knutson. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School in 1951.\r\nLillian married Elroy Kaufman at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Eau Claire on September 29, 1951.\r\nShe was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church where her actives included teaching Sunday school. \r\nLil opened her heart and home to all who needed a place to stay, a warm meal, and a shoulder to lean on.\r\nSurvivors include her husband, Elroy; three sons, Keith (Mary), Kerry (Carol), and Scott (Mary) all of Eau Claire; six grandchildren, Nicole, Kelsy, Carlin, Emily and Ellyn Kaufman and Crystal Severson; brother, Victor (Jan) Knutson of Navarre, FL; sister, Nancy (Gary) Kleist of Eau Claire; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jeffrey; brother, Omar Knutson and a sister, Esther Klebesadel.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Joseph A. Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
