Lillian L. Modl, 79, of Mt. Washington Residence, died Friday, June 3, 2005, at Sacred Heart Hospital. Lillian was born March 13, 1926, in Eau Claire, the daughter of Emil and Minnie (Schlichting) Berndt.\r\nShe married Donald Modl in Eau Claire.\r\nShe worked for a time at Mount Washington Residence.\r\nLillian is survived by her sister, Marie Huse of Eau Claire; many nieces and nephews; and her special friends, Jane Curler of Altoona and Milton Storlie of Chippewa Falls. \r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 1971; four brothers, Ernest, George, Fred and Ralph Berndt; and four sisters, Elsie Coach, Vera Johnson, Leona Schug and Ethel Jacklen. \r\nMemorial services will be at 1:30 p.m.Wednesday, June 8, 2005, at Mt. Washington Residence Chapel, 1930 Cleveland St., Eau Claire, with Father William A. Dhein officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Eau Claire. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. Wednesday until time of services at Mt. Washington Residence. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is assisting the family.\r\n
