Lillian H. Pederson, 98, of Eau Claire died Friday, February 14, 2003 at Syverson Lutheran Home. \r\nShe was born on November 6, 1904 in Rice Lake the daughter of Frederick and Nettie (Halverson)Walter.\r\nLillian married August A. Ausman in Eau Claire. Following August's death she later married Everette "Pete" Pederson in Milwaukee on May 28, 1949. \r\nShe was employed at Webster Candy Factory, and then at National Presto Industries munitions plant during World War II. Lillian later worked as a clerk at the Wisconsin State Unemployment Office \r\nShe was a member of First Lutheran Church. \r\nLillian was active in a bowling league and she enjoyed fishing and camping with her family.\r\nSurvivors include her son, Fritz ( Muriel) Ausman of Weyerhaeuser; two grandchildren, Kirk (Susan) Ausman of Eau Claire and Nancy Dhatt of Barron; three great grandchildren, Logan and Alexandra Ausman, and Sonia Dhatt; brother John (Jewell) Walters of Eau Claire; brother-in-law, Donovan (Patricia) Pederson and sister-in-law, Helen Pederson both of Eau Claire; and several nieces and nephews. \r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Hans, Charles and Wilbert Walter; and two sisters, Pauline Craney and Geraldine Shatwell.\r\nMemorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 17, 2003 at First Lutheran Church Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Duane C. Pederson officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington. Family and friends may call an hour prior to services Monday at the church chapel. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.
