Lillian F. Smith, 72, of Eau Claire died Thursday, July 26, 2007, at Sacred Heart Hospital after fighting a courageous battle with leukemia. \r\nShe was born in Pennsylvania on September 23, 1934, the daughter of William and Edna Custer.\r\nLillian married Larry M. Smith on May 27, 1966 in Salem, Ohio.\r\nFor many years, Lillian worked on the assembly line in St. Louis Park, MN for General Mills manufacturing pizza. She and Larry moved to Eau Claire in 1984.\r\nLillian is survived by her husband, Larry of Eau Claire; a sister, Violet Valentine of Lisbon, Ohio; her mother-in-law, Margaret Smith of Eau Claire; her brother-in-law, Dwight (Bonnie) Smith of Chippewa Falls; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by parents; and a sister.\r\nPrivate family funeral services will be held Monday, July 30, 2007, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Rev. David Stratton officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.\r\n
