Lillian "Yiddy" L. Victory, 92, of Eau Claire died Friday, June 4, 2004 at Dove Health Care Center. She was born February 6, 1912 in Wheaton Township, Chippewa County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Bert and Catherine (Zenner) Lynn. She attended Sunnyside School in Wheaton Township. Lillian married William J. Victory on June 20, 1938 in Iowa.\r\nShe worked at the 202 Club where she talked of serving Hank Aaron meals while he played baseball in Eau Claire, also at National Presto during World War II and in housekeeping at Fanny Hill until her retirement in 1984. Following William's retirement they moved to the Holcombe Flowage where they lived a number of years before returning to Eau Claire.\r\nLillian was a very giving and trusting person who gave openly of herself. Her door was always open to her grandchildren and others. Her family remembers her high energy level as they tried to keep up with her. She had a great sense of humor, always enjoying a good joke.\r\nShe is survived by her daughter, Beverly Shearer of Menomonie; grandchildren, Kenneth (Vicky) Shearer of Appleton, Linda (Kurt) Lieffering of Menomonie, Joseph (Denise) Shearer of Crystal, MN, Thomas Shearer, Caroline (Todd) Neidermyer, and Jason Shearer all of Menomonie; fourteen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nLillian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William in 1981; and son-in-law, Richard Shearer; three sisters, Cybil Swanson, Myrtle Bruehling and Marjorie Lee; one brother, Everett Lynn.\r\nMemorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 10, 2004 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Rev. Gordon Thorpe officiating. Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
