Linda D. Shefchik, 70, of Altoona, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Oakwood Health Services in Altoona. She was born on February 27, 1948 in Eau Claire, to Robert and Margaret (Peterson) Bushendorf. Linda married Roy J. Shefchik and had worked for the Career Development Center. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Linda is survived by her husband, Roy; daughter, Jennifer Ellis; granddaughters, Kaylyn and Andrea Ellis; great-grandson, Emersyn Heacox; sisters, Peggy Moschkau and Sally Bandoli; and a brother, David Bushendorf. She was preceded in death by her son (in-infancy), Roy Jr.; parents; and brothers, Larry, Jerry and Donald Bushendorf. The family wishes to thank Oakwood Health Services for their support and care that they gave to Linda. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the West Chapel location of Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave. in Eau Claire, with Pastor Christine Emerson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the West Chapel.
