LLOYD S. KAPPERS, 101, formerly of 1204 State St., died Wednesday, May 7, 1997 at the M.B. Syverson Lutheran Home. He was born September 25, 1895 in Baldwin to John and Jane (Snoeyenbos) Kappers. Lloyd moved to Eau Claire in the Spring of 1900. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I and was discharged as a lieutenant. Lloyd graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire in June of 1923, and worked as a salesman in Eau Claire and Fox River valley for various companies until his retirement at age 65.\r\nSurvivors include nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11:00 a.m.Friday at the Meta Trebus Memorial Chapel, M. B. Syverson Lutheran Home, with Pastor Gene E. Wickman officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery with graveside military rites.\r\nFriends may call one-half hour prior to services Friday at the chapel.\r\nLenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home is serving the family.
