Obituary

Lloyd Edward Tischman, 96, of Chippewa Falls passed away on Friday, December 17, 2004, Chippewa Manor in Chippewa Falls. He was born in Menomonie, WI, on September 4, 1908, the son of Edward and Inga (Peterson) Tischman. He attended Eau Claire Schools graduating from Eau Claire Senior High School in January, 1928. \r\nLloyd married Myrtle L. Lindberg on October 27, 1943 at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire.\r\nHis employment as a tire builder with Uniroyal was interrupted when he served his country in the United States Army from 1943 until 1945, achieving the rank of Corporal. He returned to Uniroyal, retiring in 1970 after 35 years of employment. Lloyd owned and operated Chippewa Valley Spinner Company.\r\nHe was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church, a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a member of the Chippewa Valley Rod and Gun Club, serving as its President, Vice-President and member of the Board of Directors for many years. His lifelong devotion to wildlife management and outdoor sports achieved recognition when he was named "Sportsman of the Year" for Indianhead Country in 1984. \r\nLloyd is survived by his wife, Myrtle; daughter Sandra (Richard F.) Toussaint of Marshall Texas; four grandchildren, Dr. Richard (Adelle) Toussaint, Jr. of Dallas, TX, Denise (Pat) Toussaint Avinger of Ovilla, TX, Cheryl Toussaint Sperier of Frisco, TX, and Jeffrey (Lynn) Toussaint of Colorado Springs, CO; six great grandchildren, Aubrey Sperier, Patrick Avinger, Jeffrey Sperier, Jaime Toussaint, Katie Avinger and Rick Toussaint III; He is also survived by a stepdaughter, Lois (Kenneth) Sperber of Cadott; and their children, Marvin (Carol) Sperber of Cadott, Randy (Margie) Sperber of Onalaska, Denise (Arnie) Faaren of New Richmond, Raymond (Melissa) Sperber of Stewartville, MN, and Alissa Sperber of Genoa City; eight step great grandchildren, Justin and Crystal Sperber, Jesse and Jordan Sperber, Anders and Kjrsten Faaren, and Shawnna and Alex Sperber; his two nieces, Judy Girard of Eau Claire and Pat (Redgie) Huftel of Ottawa, IL, will miss him greatly as will his many friends and neighbors.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2004, at Grace Lutheran Church Chapel with Pastor Rolf A. Nestingen officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in the town of Washington where VFW Post # 305 will conduct military graveside rites. Visitation will be an hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home is serving the family.
