LOIS BERTSCH, 82, of 2912 Otis St., died Monday, October 13, 1997 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield following heart surgery. She was born October 3, 1915 to Charles and Blanch (Clark) Huck in Newark, NJ. She grew up in Wanaque, NJ and attended school in Haskell, NJ. Lois married Gerald F. Bertsch on November 2, 1935 in Suffern, NY, they moved to Wisconsin in 1956. She worked as a supervisor in the dietary department at Sacred Heart Hospital for seventeen years until her retirement in 1992.Survivors include four sons, Gerard Bertsch of Salina, KS, Gary (Suzanne) Bertsch of Eau Claire, Barry (Cheryl) Bertsch of North Port, AL, Karl (Joan) Bertsch of Hanover, PA; a daughter, Carol (Jim) Wall of Portland, OR; twenty four grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a brother, Austin (Barbara) Huck of Anchorage, AK; a sister, Joan (Joe) Grassi of Lakeville, PA.She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald in 1991; her parents; and a brother, Walter Huck. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home with Father Edmund Klimek officiating. Friends may call 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday and one hour prior to services Sunday at the funeral home.
