Lois Biesterveld, age 58 of Eau Claire, died on Friday, August 22, 2014. She was born in Bruce WI, to Louis and Maryanne (Cicak) Huml, on October 9, 1955. Lois was the sweetest wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a daycare provider and homemaker, touching many lives over the years. Lois was an excellent cook that loved gardening, birds, and the outdoors. She had a special bond with her grandchildren that can never be broken. Lois will be greatly missed by many. Lois is survived by her husband, Thomas Biesterveld; three daughters, Angela (Jeffery) Prissel, Laurie Biesterveld and Stacy Biesterveld; grandchildren; Xavion, Andrew, Desirae, Brett and Kayden; siblings, James (Janet) Huml, Kimberly (Jim) Larson, Christine Walker, Michelle Johnson, and John (Tina) Huml; along with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Bruce Huml; and her sister, Mary Schultz. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at the West Chapel of Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home, 1405 N. Clairemont Avenue, Eau Claire, with a Public Prayer Vigil at 6:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, 2502 11th Street, Eau Claire, with a visitation one hour prior to the Mass at church. Father Tom Krieg will be officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Eau Claire.
