Obituary

Lois G. Candell, 89, of Eau Claire died Thursday, October 18, 2007, at Luther Hospital. She was born on March 11, 1918, the first of eleven children born to Sever and Adella (Huse) Severson. She was baptized and confirmed at Epiphany Lutheran Church. Her church and faith in God were very important to her. Lois worked for many years at Shedd Brown Calendar Factory. Lois married Emmett Candell on February 22, 1975, and then lived in Oregon. She was loved by all. Lois showed her love to her extended family and others by all the beautiful things she sewed and knitted for them. She was very fussy with any crafts she made. Babies and children were her special joy. Lois is survived by her two sisters, Mabel O'Neill and Dianne (Gary) Green, both of Eau Claire; three brothers, Donald (Bus) and Rod (Barb) Severson, both of Eau Claire, and Ted (Dawn) Severson of Black River Falls; a brother-in-law, Bill Lawler of Eau Claire; two sisters-in-law, Donna and Marge Severson, both of Eau Claire; three step-granddaughters; two step-grandsons; nine great step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Emmett; two step-sons, Jerry and Larry Candell; two sisters, Caroline Lawler and Marion Peterson; three brothers, Charles, Harry, and John "Jack" Severson; a brother-in-law, Jim O'Neill; and two sisters-in-law, Charlotte and Mary Severson. We will forever keep her in our hearts, all the beautiful memories and years shared together. You will be missed but not forgotten. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 22, 2007, at Epiphany Lutheran Church with Pastor Russell Kampfer officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2007 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services Monday at the church.
