Lois Mae (Morgan) Lemke, age 91, died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family on Saturday, June 16, 2018. Lois was born January 30, 1927, to Freddie & Esther Morgan. Lois & Marvin "Joe", shared 57 years together. She always had her special book of dates, seldom missing the opportunity to honor loved ones. Lois' date is in 'the book' now too. She'd like you to know that she's on her new assignment where she'll continue doing what she enjoys, knitting dishcloths, ironing everything, doing laundry, and making the most of her gifts as a homemaker and housekeeper, all while relishing vanilla ice cream and circus peanuts. As you know, she did the simple things to bring the simple joys to others. Lois leaves behind a legacy. She is survived by her children, Arlene (Jerome) Austreng of CA, Sonja (Dave) Scott of MO, Carol (Bill Hawke) Lemke of WI, and Richard Lemke; 10 grandkids; 13 great-grandkids; and 5 great-great grandkids! She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe; and daughter, Paulette. A funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home WEST CHAPEL, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire, with Pastor Philip Ruge-Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
