LOIS A. NICOLET, 76, of Eau Claire, died Friday, July 6, 2001,at Syverson Lutheran Home. She was born in Eau Claire on September 2, 1924, the daughter of Oscar and Anna (Shield) Olson. Lois married Louis F. Nicolet on May 23, 1944, in Brownsville, Texas. \r\nLois had worked at Montgomery Wards and Deluxe Bakery.\r\nShe was a lifetime member of Grace Lutheran Church where she had been a member of Martha Circle. She was a member Eau Claire Chapter #126 order of the Eastern Star.\r\nLois over the years had knit and crocheted many sweaters, mittens and scarf's for family, friends and church charities.\r\nSurvivors include her son, Kent (Deborah) Nicolet of Milwaukee; a brother, Aubrey (Annette) Olson of Eau Claire; three sisters, Irma Cartwright of Mpls, MN, Ethel Mae (Don) Jackson of Boise, ID, and Verona Foltz of Las Vegas, NE; two sisters-in-law, Doris Tyler and Jean Olson both of Eau Claire; many nieces, nephews and friends.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Louis, in 1980; her parents; two brothers, Charles and Oscar Jr. Olson; and a sister, June Olson.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2001 at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Rolf A. Nestingen officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
