Obituary

Devoted wife, blessed mother, fun-loving grandma and great-grandma, sister, friend, and neighborhood nurturer.\r\nLois Soley, 78, a long-time resident of 727 South Eddy Street, died Friday, October 1, 1999. She now rests eternally with the Lord following a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. Lois is the daughter of Anna and Enoch Sherman. She joins her parents in heaven along with her husband, James Thomas Sr.; her son, James T. Soley "Pudge"; and her sister, Bevlyn Jacot. Lois is survived by her children, Dick (Ann) of Eau Claire, and their daughters, Cathy Julson and her children, Jennifer and Christopher, Carolyn (Tom) Gullickson and their children, Heath and Jared, Christine (Tom) Kleich and their children, Elicia and Alex; Joanne "Bonnie"(Robert) Rousselow of DeFuniak Springs, FL, their children, Tim (Micki) and their children, Nicholas, Courtney and Jacob, and Mary (Mike) Green and their children, Kaitlyn and Brett; two grandchildren, Jim III (Karen) and Dawn Soley (children of James Jr.) and their mother, Donna Rubenzer of Chippewa Falls; Nancy (Dick) McNish of Eau Claire, and her children, Scott and Mindy Olson (father, Mike "Hopper" Olson); Thomas of Eau Claire and his son Brian (mother, Nancy Soley); Mark (Sheila) of Jacksonville, FL and their children, Shasta, Joshua, Alicia and Casie; a brother, William (Mary) Sherman, a sister, Carol (Arnie) Anderson, and dear friend and sister-in-law, Virginia "Doll" Gort all of Eau Claire.\r\nHer life and death will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Monday, October 4, 1999 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Father Edmund Klimek officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Monday at the church. There will be a 4 p.m. prayer service Sunday at the funeral home lead by Sister Catherine Manning O.S.B. \r\nLois firmly desired that in lieu of flowers, memorials would please be directed to the donor's choice.
