LORA G. KLAUTSCH, 89, of formerly of 2418 Peebles St., died Monday, October 13, 1997, at Oakwood Villa Nursing Home,Altoona. She was born May 8, 1908 in Randolph County, near Cairo,Missouri the youngest of 18 children to Millard and Cora (Specie) Broaddus. She graduated from Cairo Community High School in 1927 and soon after joined several other family members in Eau Claire.\r\nShe married Franklin C. Zahnow in Cairo on February 14, 1931. Franklin died in August, 1949. Lora married Albert F. Klautsch on November 13, 1964, He died 1984. \r\nLora worked at Uniroyal Tire Co. for twenty one years until her retirement in 1964. She was a member of Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ. \r\nSurvivors include, two sons, Byron (Carol) Zahnow of Eau Claire and Roger Zahnow of Fort Wayne,IN; three step-daughters, Frances Mason of Topeka,KS, Coranell Rossow of Muncie,IN, and Geraldine Mark of Chicago,IL; fifteen grandchildren, twenty six great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; many relatives and friends.\r\nShe was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ with Pastor Chris W. Myers officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.\r\nFriends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
