Lorraine M. Forster, 90, of Eau Claire, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016, at Comforts of Home, in Chippewa Falls. Lorraine was born on May 24, 1926, in Durand, to John and Louise (Spindler) Brenner. Lorraine graduated from Sacred Heart High School, Lima. She married Wm. Daniel Forster in 1949 and they later divorced. Lorraine was a homemaker, childcare provider and a cook at the Buffington Home in Eau Claire. She enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time with all of her grandchildren. Lorraine is survived by her four daughters, Margaret "Marge" (Hank) Kunkel of Menomonie, Carol (John) Weideman of Chippewa Falls, Cathy (Todd) Hovda of Kasson, MN and Rose (John) Knutson of Hudson; nine grandchildren, Nicole Kunkel, Melissa (Rick) Deutsch, Joe (Jackie) Kunkel, Dan (fiancé Kasey Simenson) Weideman, Kaitlyn Hovda, Tully Hovda, Lindsey Knutson, Allison Knutson and Megan (Aymar Sinaise) Knutson Sinaise; five great grandchildren, Ian & Aislin Sheridan, Robert Deutsch, Odin Weideman and Malik Sinaise; one step great grandson, Ricky Deutsch; two sisters-in-law, Martha Brenner and Marianne Wurl; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Mary Jean; three sisters; and five brothers. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm, on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at the WEST CHAPEL of Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave. in Eau Claire with Pat Chittendon officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Holy Rosary Cemetery in the Town of Lima.
