Obituary

Lorraine A.Guenther, 90, formerly of 716 W. Grand Ave, died Tuesday, August 14, 2001, at the Clairemont. She was born in Eau Claire on January 7, 1911, the daughter of Alford and Myrtle (Johns) Nordlie. \r\nShe grew up in Eau Claire and worked for her parents at their Nordlie Paint and Wallpaper Store, and later for Charlson Lumber, retiring in 1978. \r\nLorraine married Lambert Guenther on June 4, 1977 in Eau Claire at Christ Church Cathedral. They lived in Florida for ten years before returning to Eau Claire. \r\nShe had been an active member of Christ Church Cathedral where she taught Sunday School and was a member of church choir. \r\nSurvivors include a sister-in-law, Hilda Jochimsen of Eau Claire; a nephew, Ronald Jochimsen of Appleton; several cousins and friends.\r\nLorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Lambert, in 1993.\r\nFuneral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 16, 2001 at Christ Church Cathedral, with The Very Rev. H. Scott Kirby officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home is assisting the family.
