Lorraine Norma (Bernahl) McElwaine, 83, of Eau Claire , died Thursday, November 13, 2008, at Clairemont Nursing&Rehab Center in Eau Claire. \r\nShe was born in Sparta, IL, on September 17, 1925, to Robert G. and Norma (Moessner) Bernahl. She lived most of her life in Eau Claire. Lorraine graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1943. \r\nShe worked at the Farmer Store Company, Wisconsin Telephone Company, and the American National Bank. \r\nShe was a longtime member of the Epiphany Lutheran Church. \r\nLorraine married Orville D. McElwaine in Eau Claire on May 4, 1946, in Eau Claire. He died in 1994.\r\nLorraine is survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Orville in 1994; her son, Robert McElwaine; and an infant grandchild.\r\nGraveside services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, November 17, 2008, at Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire with Pastor Russell Kampfer officiating.
