Lorraine M. Olson, 70, of Eau Claire, died Friday, July 20, 2001 at Chippewa Manor Nursing Home, Chippewa Falls. She was born on May 25, 1931, the daughter of Victor and Leonora (Stratton) Woodford in Eau Claire. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1949.\r\nLorraine married Chester D. Olson in Eau Claire on October 1, 1949. She worked for twenty years as a cook in the cafeteria at National Presto Industries, until retiring in 1989.\r\nShe was a member of Pinehurst Lutheran Church.\r\nLorraine enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family, and her cats.\r\nSurvivors include two sons, Douglas (Marlene) of Eau Claire and Dan (Sue) of Chippewa Falls; her daughter, Debra (DeWayne) Lukes of Eau Claire; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Janet (Gerald) French of Eau Claire; many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband Chester; her parents; and a brother in infancy.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2001 at Pinehurst Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
