Lorraine I. Rathke, 85, of Eau Claire died Saturday, January 7, 2006, at Dove Healthcare Center. She was born in Howard Township, Chippewa County on February 11, 1920, the daughter of Ludvig and Luella (Thompson) Holm. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1938.\r\nIn 1938, Lorraine and Richard J. Everson were married in Iowa. Richard died in 1956. She married LaVerne H. Rathke in Decorah, IA on October 19, 1957. \r\nShe worked as a baker at Bunny Bread Bakery and then Co-op Bakery until her retirement.\r\nLorraine was a member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. She enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, and hunting with her family.\r\nShe is survived by her husband, LaVerne; two daughters, Sharron (Elwin) Zell and Lynn (Patrick) Goss both of Eau Claire; son, Richard J. Everson of Phoenix, AZ; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and a niece and two nephews.\r\nLorraine was also preceded in death by her parents; a great-grandson, Dederick Goss; and her sister, Ione Kling.\r\nPrivate family memorial services were held today, Thursday, January 12, 2006, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Pastor Paul D.L. Oppedahl officiating. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery.\r\n \r\n
