Louis D. Santoro, 76, of Cadott, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at The Clairemont Nursing Home in Eau Claire. Louis was born on December 31, 1937, in Brooklyn, New York to Louis and Annabelle (Nelson) Santoro. He graduated from Hicksville High School in New York where he met Carole Weizenecker. Louis and Carole eloped and were married on June 10, 1956. They began their married life on Long Island, NY until 1977, when they relocated to Wisconsin. They finally settled in Cadott, their home for the last 23 years. Louis was preceded in death by his wife, Carole; son, Michael; daughter, Lisa; and grandson, Nicholas. He is survived by his daughter, Renee Santoro of Eau Claire, WI; son, Adam Santoro of Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Carrie, Amber, Andrew, Courtney, and Chelsey; and many great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 7, 2014, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., Eau Claire. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 415 N. Maple St. in Cadott with Fr. William Felix officiating. There will be a time to visit with family starting at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday at church.
