LUCILLE M. CAUCUTT, 85, formerly of 1111 Vine St., Eau Claire, died Friday, July 7, 2000 at Oakwood Villa Nursing Home in Altoona. She was born on October 25, 1914 in Iron Belt, Wisconsin to George and Harriett (Johnson) Berglund. At the age of fourteen Lucille moved with her family to Eau Claire where she attended Eau Claire Senior High School.\r\nLucille married Clifford L. Nichols in Eau Claire in August of 1932. Clifford died in 1937. She married Bela H. Caucutt on July 2, 1943 in Eau Claire. \r\nLucille worked at the Uniroyal Munitions Plant during World War II, and while raising her family did women's hair styling from her home.\r\nShe was an active member of Plymouth Congregational Church, volunteered many years doing hair styling at area nursing homes, and enjoyed many years playing and scoring in the horseshoe league with her husband, Bela. Lucille also enjoyed playing cards, and delighted in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.\r\nSurvivors include, three sons, Gregory (Amy) Caucutt of Rochester, MN, George (Ardena) Nichols and Keith (Paula) Caucutt both of Eau Claire; grandson, George Caucutt; eight granddaughters, Kimberly Nichols, Karen (Pat) Tuura, Kathryn Nichols, Kari Nichols, Mary Caucutt, Elizabeth Caucutt, Krista Caucutt, and Kaitlin Caucutt; three great-grandsons, Patrick and Jacob Tuura, and Alexander Nichols; a sister, Juanita Resech of Barron; many nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Kenneth Smith and his son, Keenan.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bela in 1988; four sisters, Viola Berglund, Harriet Sheffield, Bernice Hermann and Cecelia Benson.\r\nFuneral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ with Pastor Chris W. Myers officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
