Obituary

Lucille I. Forcier,83, formerly of 509 Union St., died Friday, July 6, 2001 at Dove Health Care Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on October 28, 1917, in Eleva to Julius and Adelaide ( Ness) Peterson.\r\nShe attended UW-Eau Claire and then graduated from cosmetology school. Following school she worked in Park Falls where she met her future husband, Verlin "Bud" Forcier. They were married on November 27, 1941 in Strum.\r\nLucille operated the Eau Claire Hotel Beauty Shop and later the Style Inn Beauty Shop until her retirement in 1981.\r\nShe was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ.\r\nLucille was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed making several different crafts over the years and she was a fabulous cook and baker. She always made sure that her children and grandchildren had her baked goods and homemade jams. She also enjoyed spending time in her yard with her flowers and garden. Lucille was a loving individual and she will be deeply missed by her family.\r\nSurvivors include two sons, Daniel and his special friend, JoAnne Olson of Osseo, David (Pam) of Canton, GA; four grandchildren, Todd (Michelle) Forcier of Wisconsin Rapids, Troy (Amy) Forcier of Hudson, Amy (Ricky) Forcier-Pabst of Chippewa Falls, and Corey Forcier of LaCrosse; eight great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Judy Forcier of LaCrosse; two sisters-in-law, Mary Linda Peterson of Eau Claire and Ruby Peterson of Garnavillo, IA; and many nieces and nephews. \r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband Verlin in 1986; her parents; four brothers, Hensel, Milton, Dennis, and Gordon; two sisters, Iona Peterson and Lorraine Mueller; and daughter-in-law, Maxine Forcier\r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2001 at First Congregational United Church of Christ with Pastor Chris W. Myers officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends and Family may call 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
