Lucille A. Kjesbo, 81, of Altoona passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2012, after years of complications from MS. Lucille was born in Eau Claire on February 21, 1930, a daughter to Otto and Gerda (Olson) Gullickson. She graduated from Mondovi High School with the Class of 1947. Lucille married Raymond Kjesbo on March 12, 1949, in Stillwater, MN. She worked as a telephone operator for Wisconsin Bell and AT&T for many years, before retiring in 1989. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Telephone Pioneers. Lucille liked to spend time fishing with her family at Northshore Resort in Rice Lake, WI. She also enjoyed dancing to Polka music and tending to her flowers. She enjoyed spending time with her best pal, her Cocker Spaniel, Molly. Lucille is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Kjesbo of Altoona, Linda (Ron) Hays of Eau Claire, and Vickie (Dave) Bjerke of Apple Valley, MN; sons, Jerry (Debbie) Kjesbo of Altoona and Gene (Jane) Kjesbo of Chippewa Falls; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Esther Zimmerman and Margaret "Peg" Russell; brothers, Melwin (Janet) Gullickson and Willard (Kay) Gullickson. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Funeral Services for Lucille will be at 11 AM on Thursday, January 5, 2012, at Grace Lutheran Church, 202 W. Grand Ave., with Pastor David A. Irgens officiating. Friends and family are invited for visitation on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn WEST CHAPEL, 1405 N. Clairemont, Eau Claire and one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
