Lyle Anderson, age 85, of Eau Claire passed away early Friday, December 28, 2012, at home after a lengthy illness with family at his side. Lyle was born on a farm in rural Cadott, Township of Sigel, on August 6, 1927. The son of Fred and Myrtle (Hendrickson) Anderson. He was 13 months old when his father passed away. His mother continued to farm until he was 5, and then moved the family into Cadott where he attended school. Lyle was the last surviving member of the Anderson family. In 1946, he joined the United States Air Force obtaining the rank of Sergeant. He was stationed at the Panama Canal Zone for 33 months as a Teletype repair mechanic. Stateside, he was stationed at White Sand Proving grounds in New Mexico. On June 19, 1950, he was united in marriage to Mary Lou Novak. Shortly after marriage, he worked in various grocery stores until he started work at the Uniroyal Tire Plant for 32 years. During a layoff period he worked at the John Deer plant in Waterloo, Iowa, until he was called back to the Uniroyal. When his family was young, he enjoyed helping out at the in-laws farm driving their tracker. After retirement, he became an avid two-trip-a-day McDonald's coffee guy where he reminisced with all his friends. He also enjoyed bird watching, rooting on the Packers, camping with family and friends, and eating whatever candy he could get his hands on, especially suckers. Lyle is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; four daughters, Brenda Anderson-Moser of St. Paul MN, Jane (Butch) Pecka of Eau Claire, Gail (Rick) Krahulec of Waconia MN, and Patricia (Bob) Lokken of Eau Claire; six grandchildren, Rachael and Brad Pecka, Michael, Brian and Sarah Krahulic and John Lokken; sisters and brothers in-law, Rose Anderson, Annette Lauer, Jenny Novak, Steve and Leva Novak, Stanley Novak, Jim and Jean Novak and other relatives and friends.
