Lyle J. McFaul, 94, of the town of Wheaton, Chippewa County died Friday, October 28, 2005, at Dove Healthcare. He was born in the town of Wheaton on January 21, 1911, the son of James and Jennie (Perry) McFaul. Lyle married Louise W. Johnson on August 17, 1942, at St. Patrick's Rectory in Eau Claire.\r\nThey farmed for many years on the family farm, homesteaded in 1882 by his grandfather in the town of Wheaton. \r\nSurvivors include his two daughters, Phyllis (Phillip) Gannon of Chippewa Falls and Nancy McFaul of Eau Claire; a sister, Gladys Johnson; brother-in-law, Charles Helwig; two sisters-in-law, Beverly Johnson and Ruth Johnson all of Eau Claire; and many nieces, nephews, good friends and neighbors. \r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Louise; and three sisters, Margaret Smith, Mollie Rayment and Lucille Helwig; and three brothers-in-law, Howard Johnson, Clifford Rayment and Herb Smith.\r\nHis family wishes to extend their thanks for the care given Lyle by the staff at Dove Healthcare.\r\nMass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2005, at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, Eau Claire with Father John A. Schultz officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Eau Claire. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., Eau Claire, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. There will be a public prayer service at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
