MABEL ISABEL GABERT, 94, formerly of 728 Chippewa St., died Monday, October 27, 1997 at the Clairemont Nursing Home. She was born February 7, 1903 in the Town of Washington, Eau Claire County, to Eli and Dora (Frank) Smith. Mabel married Frederich C. Gabert in Eau Claire on September 3, 1927. \r\nShe was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church where she had been active in its Ladies Aid and Sewing Circle.\r\nSurvivors include two sons, Ronald of Oklahoma City,OK, and Jerry(Susan) of Easton, CT, and Boston,MA; two daughters, Jean(Clarence)Gerbig of Neenah,WI, and Janet(Edwin) Benson of Mounds View,MN; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Frederich in 1988, an infant son, Arthur Frederick, four brothers and one sister.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home with Pastor Frederick C. Sauder officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and an hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
