Mabel H. Oebser, 89, of Eau Claire, died Wednesday, February 26, 2003 at Sacred Heart Hospital. She was born in Springfield Township in St. Croix County on October 6, 1913, the daughter of Herman and Minnie (Pinnerud) Brown.\r\nMabel married Fred W. Oebser on February 19, 1932 in Menomonie, WI. They made their home in Eau Claire where they were members of First Lutheran Church.\r\nSurvivors include her brother, Melvin (Jeannette) Brown of River Falls; nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and her special caregiver, Irene (Carl) Hunt of Chippewa Falls. \r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Fred in 1980; brother, Clarence; sister, Gladys Miller; niece, Marilyn Blanco; and a nephew Jim Brown.\r\nFuneral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2003 at First Lutheran Church Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Duane C. Pederson officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the church chapel. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home is serving the family.\r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to First Lutheran Church.
