Obituary

Mabel A. Shaw, 91, formerly of 1412 Whipple St., died Thursday, July 12, 2001 at Dove Healthcare Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born in the Town of Washington on January 1, 1910, the daughter of David and Maggie Eva (Mock) Gibson. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1927. \r\nMabel married Homer C. Shaw on January 1, 1933 at her parent's home. She was an office clerk for Sunlight Dairy and later Dolly Madison Dairy until her retirement. Mabel moved to Luther Lakeside Apartments in 1983 where she was active in volunteer work, social events, and church activities. She was a member of the Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ.\r\nSurvivors include her sister-in-laws, June M. Gibson of Sun City, AZ, Pearl Boyd of Port Edwards, WI, and Irene Webert Cottage Grove, MN; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Homer in 1982; her parents; one sister; and four brothers. \r\nFuneral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2001 at Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ with Pastor Chris W. Myers officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.\r\n
