Madeleine Carole Butterworth, age 5 ½, of Eau Claire, went to dance with the other angels on January 6, 2012. She was born on June 14, 2006, to Lee and Christy (Rogers) Butterworth. From the very beginning, Maddy would put her hand on your heart and never let go. She loved dancing, fashion, art and especially rock-n-roll. Maddy loved her school, teacher and was very excited to be learning how to read and write. She did not just walk, she skipped down the halls of school and would always find a way to get a laugh in. Her smile and laughter would bring joy to everyone who knew her. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family on "special days" where they would shop at the "regular" mall and the "big" mall. Maddy loved the holidays because that meant her whole family would be together. She adored her 3 ½ year old brother, Cooper. They had an energy together that would rival no other. They shared a special bond and always made sure the other was taken care of. Maddy will live on through her Mom and Dad; brother, Cooper; grandparents, "Nanny" Carole J. Hoff, Ray Rogers, and Theresa and Bill Butterworth; uncles, Tyler (Alison McCurdy), Travis and Jeff Rogers and Jake Butterworth; aunt, "uncle Chelsea"; and also by countless others who loved her. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 10, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, from 4 to 8 p.m., and again one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
