Marcella L. Peterson, 87, of Eau Claire died Friday, July 17, 2009, at Luther Hospital. She was born in Strum, WI, on May 2, 1922, a daughter of Oscar and Hilda (Semmingson) Skoug.\r\nMarcella married Orville C. Peterson in Eau Claire in 1939. \r\nMarcella is survived by her five children, Sharon (Howard) Pitts of Rice Lake, Steven Peterson of Eau Claire, Mark (Joanne) Peterson of Elburn, IL, Carol Peterson of Eau Claire, and Diane (Bill) Roth of Northport, AL; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; four brothers, Raymond Skoug, Roger (Evelyn) Skoug and Vern (Lois) Skoug all of Eau Claire, and Eugene (Dorothy) Skoug of Chippewa Falls; brother-in-law, LaVern Crapser of Mondovi; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Orville; daughter, Darlene Waak; a grandson, David Prill; great grandson, Logan Sedlacek; and her sister, Muriel Crapser.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 12 p.m. (Noon) on Monday, July 20, 2009 at Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., Eau Claire, with Pastor Carlton Kangas officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.\r\n
