Obituary

MARGARET E. DAHL, 90, formerly of 7009 Walnut Road, Eau Claire, died Monday, December 13, 1999 at her daughter's home in the Town of Drammen, rural Mondovi. She was born June 24, 1909 in the town of Lincoln to Gustav and Anna (Zielsdorff) Quast. On October 18, 1931, she married Elmer T. Dahl in Fall Creek. They farmed in the town of Washington until 1974. Margaret was employed in housekeeping at Holiday Inn until retiring in 1972. \r\nSurvivors include two daughters, VanEtta "Van" (Robert) Knutson of Mondovi and Virginia (Orville) Larson of Altoona; a son, Vernon Dahl of Milwaukee; brother, Wilhelm Quast and sister, Roscelia Bischoff both of Eau Claire; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; two step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer, in 1986; son, Vincent Dahl; three brothers, Walter, Raymond and Eldar Quast; three sisters, Adeline Quast, Arvelina Hagedorn and Ruth Lange.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church on Hwy 93 and HH with Pastor Roger D. Eden officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, town of Pleasant Valley. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. to time of services Saturday at the church.
