MARGARET ELIZABETH KELK, age 71, of 1719 Emery St., died Tuesday, March 31, 1998 at her home. She was born January 16, 1927 in Eau Claire to Charles and Myrtle (Anderson) Mesang Wahl. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1944. Margaret married Lyle K. Kelk on October 8, 1958 in Eau Claire. She was an accountant with NSP for 38 years until her retirement in 1993. She was an exceptional athlete, excelling in bowling, golf and softball. Margaret was a Charter inductee in 1995, into the Eau Claire Women's Bowling Association Hall of Fame. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and Eau Claire Women of the Moose #1408.\r\nSurvivors include her husband, Lyle; two sons, Larry (Janet) Gregory of Eau Claire and Jon (Michele) Kelk of St. Louis, MO.; a step-son Richard (Elizabeth) Kelk of Oshkosh; a step-daughter, Karen (Rollie) Maum of Beloit; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Don (Sylvia) Mesang, William (Jean) Wahl and James (Bev) Wahl all of Eau Claire; and a sister, Betty (Jerry) Myhers of Coon Rapids, MN.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Mesang; and her step-father, Otto Wahl.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Ned S. Lenhart officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
