Margaret A. Krahn, 65, of Eau Claire died Wednesday, February 11, 2009, following a long battle with A.L.S.\r\nShe was born in Chippewa Falls, WI on October 27, 1943, the daughter of George and Mary (Downey) Meagher. She graduated from McDonell High School with the class of 1962.\r\nMargaret married Steven C. Krahn on July 27, 1968, at the church of Notre Dame in Chippewa Falls. He passed away in 2007.\r\nShe worked as a secretary at K-Mart and Sears until her retirement.\r\nMargaret was a member of St. Olaf Catholic Church where she was an active member.She enjoyed her activities in the Red Hat Society, also water painting, gardening, and tending to house plants. She was also an avid NASCAR fan.\r\nMargaret is survived by her sister, Geraldine Hutton of Chippewa Falls; her nieces and nephews; and many friends.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Steven; and three brothers; and five sisters.\r\nMass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2009, at St. Olaf Catholic Church in Eau Claire with Father Brian Konopa celebrating the Mass. Burial will be in Lutheran Church Cemetery, Eau Claire. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass, Saturday, at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving her family.\r\nMemorials are preferred to St. Olaf Parish, 3220 Monroe St., Eau Claire, WI 54703.\r\nThe family wishes to thank everyone at St. Joseph's Hospice, especially Carol, and Deb with ALS.
